ANDROID

 # What is Android?

Android OS  is a Linux-based mobile operating system. Android is basically developed for mobile-based hardware i.e. android is a set of programs that controls and manages memory, camera, etc on a particular phone. It is a layman's introduction to Android.

# History of Android.

Android was basically developed for digital cameras and failed in that field. Originally it was created by the company name Android Inc. startup based in Palo Alto in 2003.

"There is a good example of saying  - IF YOU CAN'T BUILD IT BUY IT. "

In 2005, Google acquired Android Inc. for just $50 million, and till today Android now works under Alphabet - a parent company of Google one of the most successful products of Google.

 # Why Android is immensely popular?

What would be a good smartphone? A mobile phone having the following features would be considered a good smartphone

  • GSM/CDMA/2G/3G/4G/5G supported carrier
  • Bluetooth
  • wifi
  • Camera
  • Good Quality Display
  • GPS
  • Different sensors
these are the basic examples of features of a good-quality smartphone. And Android can handle all the above-mentioned hardware very intelligently. This is why Android has nearly 80% market share in the smartphone world today.
